竹徑從初地，
蓮峰出化城。

林上九江平。
軟草承趺坐，

Path through bamboos up from the First Stage
Towards the Magic City out above lotus peaks
Through a window, there is all of Ch'u
Over the trees the Kiukiang plain
Cross-legged, soft grass beneath
Tones of Sanskrit sounding among tall pines
Up in the Void beyond the Cloud of the Law
Contemplating, achieving Nirvana.
